“Self-compassion expands our capacity to soothe and heal our own pain and the pain of another.  A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day.  A string of such moments can change the course of your life.”

– Christopher Germer

reiki

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an ancient “laying on hands” healing art which delivers Universal Life Force energy to your body, providing relaxation, support, emotional balance, and a return to wellbeing. Reiki energy is subtle and works to stimulate your body’s innate healing resources, which helps reduce tension and stress, increase vitality, and encourage inner peace and harmony.

In this hour session, your body will be fully supported in a comfortable resting position. We’ll begin with simple breathwork to help the mind slow down and transition from a place of “doing” to “being.” As you relax and open to receive, Jocelyn will guide her hands over your body sending gentle reiki energy throughout. Usually this energy feels very warm and calming, and sends participants into a state of deep relaxation or release.

Certified under the lineage of Dr. Usui, trained by Anne Cameron at the Ayurvedic Center of Vermont, Jocelyn’s approach to healing is very nurturing and filled with intentions for your highest good. Guided by a strong intuitive sense, she meets each participant where they are, with warmth and compassion to ensure you feel safe and supported.

aromatouch

Aromatherapy massage, or AromaTouch, sessions are generally 30-45 minutes long. Sessions begin with gentle breath awareness and relaxation, while the patient lies facedown on a massage table. Therapeutic grade essential oils are applied to the back (running the entire spine, base to crown) and massaged into your body using a very light, rhythmic touch. The essential oils are used intentionally to help balance the body's energy, aid the immune system, provide stress relief, and support overall health and well-being. Reiki energy is also brought in to help ground and calm the nervous system. The gentle, rhythmic application of the oils often helps participants relax more easily into receiving reiki energy.
